The earth can’t stop in 2012 because that’s when Star Wars 3-dimensional comes out

Fire up the light-sabers, simply because “Star Wars 3D” is going to be happening. This is not a hoax. Each movie within the series is going to be reformatted into 3-d digital. It will take awhile though. The very first isn’t really due out until 2012. The films can be launched in sequence according to the plot. The last three films that can be released in the 3-dimensional run will be the original trilogy, so the prequels will naturally be first.

It’s almost time to see ‘Star Wars’ in 3-dimensional movie

Hollywood has exploded with three dimensional films, or rather giving the illusion of three dimensions. ”Avatar” and “Clash of the Titans” are just two of the biggest hits to have come out in both two dimensional and three dimensional versions in the last few years. The technology has come out to help make “Star Wars” 3-dimensional with George Lucas and Industrial Light and Magic. Lucas film said, The Telegraph reports, that the job will not be done super quickly. The series will be much better in three dimensional versions after every single detail has been made 3-d.

Very first one arriving in 2012

”Episode 1: The Phantom Menace” can be the very first “Star Wars 3-D” movie to be released. The chronological order of the story will be followed as the series is released. A release date is the big question. There is no exact date at present. 2012 is the year the business is heading for. It is just a goal though. According to The Hollywood Reporter, George Lucas had not been convinced yet of the merits of current 3-d technology. However, viewing the film “Avatar” changed his mind. Nobody knows the time length between releases yet.

Theaters need engineering also

Currently, not enough theaters have 3-D capabilities. Each and every year, about 500 are added to be 3-d capable. This technology is blossoming into its adolescence as more films are released in 3-D. It isn’t known whether “Indiana Jones” or the “Clone Wars” DVD series will get 3-dimensional updates for theatrical launch.
